March, 2020.

typically, I do not write much about a caption or photograph. I rather let the photograph tell the viewer its own story. March somehow has been different and with some minor sayings I was compelled to write just a few words of what is/was taking precedence in our planet while photographing the beaches and fishing piers of the area where my family and i reside.

March 1st, 2020 Something is up, even the birds know it. Navarre Beach little town, is about to get its spring breakers, just like any other year. Only thing, this time will be different.

March 3rd, 2020. the coronavirus is spreading globally believed to have originated from a wet market in Wuhan, China early december of 2019. Leveled as a pandemic now, the virus has Italy, France, iran and many other countries in lockdown for quarantine to slow down the spread and to learn more about the virus itself.

March 4th, 2020. Things feel pretty normal for navarre and surrounding areas. The fishing pier and beaches along the panhandle are open to the public,.

March 11th, 2020 President Trump closes access to all europe’s international incoming flights as the coronavirus makes its way through the western hemisphere.

March 14th, 2020. President donald Trump covid-19 test results are negative.

March 15th. government officials announce coronavirus testing kits are said to be available within the next following days. New York city reports 300 infected with the virus. 5 fatal.

There are close to 6,000 fatalities worldwide. u.s.a. has a least 2,572 cases confirmed and 51 death as of march 14th, 2020. Government officials advice americans to stay home in order to avoid the spread of the virus.

The people and happenings in this photo essay are the days ahead. while the pandemic keeps marking territory and taking lives with it around the planet, somehow normal activity is reflected still in the the lives of many of us here in the panhandle area. One thing i am sure of is that we all are ready strong to overcome this global tragedy and that a new sunrise is ahead of us, but for now a Pandemic Sunset is what we have at the end of each day in this month of March of 2020.
